Estimate / Costing

Overview

The Estimate (Costing) stage calculates the projected cost of executing the project based on the BOQ. It includes material cost, labor cost, subcontracting, overheads, and any additional charges required to deliver the project.

DIGITZ ERP uses the BOQ entries to prepare a structured estimate, ensuring accuracy in pricing and transparency in cost components before issuing a customer quotation.

Purpose

To determine the total expected cost of the project, factoring in all direct and indirect components, enabling proper pricing decisions and ensuring profitability from the outset.

Key Features

  • Fetch BOQ items directly for cost calculations.
  • Define cost components (material, labor, subcontracting, overheads).
  • Allows markup or margin addition to derive the selling price.
  • Option to create multiple estimate versions for comparison or revision.
  • Approved estimate can be used to generate Quotation.
  • Provides a clear summary of total estimated cost versus expected sales value.
