Overview
Material Issue to Project is used to record the consumption of stock items used for project execution. When materials are drawn from the warehouse and used in a project, DIGITZ ERP ensures that the stock is reduced and the cost of the consumed materials is allocated to the project.
This direct linkage ensures accurate tracking of material utilization, project costing, and real-time monitoring of stock impact associated with project activities.
Purpose
To allocate material consumption to a specific project and update both inventory levels and project costs, ensuring transparency, control, and accurate reporting of material usage during project execution.

Project-Linked Material Consumption
Each Material Issue entry:
- Must be linked to a project.
- Captures the item, quantity, warehouse, and valuation.
- Updates stock availability in real time.
This ensures proper traceability of materials used in the project.
Impact on Inventory
Submitting a Material Issue:
- Reduces stock from the selected warehouse.
- Updates inventory valuation based on FIFO / Moving Average.
- Ensures accurate warehouse balance and stock movement history.
Automatic Allocation to Project Cost
Material Issue automatically impacts:
- Purchase Budget Actuals (as consumed material cost)
- Project profitability
- Budget vs Actual calculations
The cost of material is added to the project’s total cost immediately after posting.
Budget Validation
During submission:
- System validates the material consumption value against the Purchase Budget of the project.
If the transaction exceeds the budget:
- Warning mode: notifies the user.
- Blocking mode: prevents submission until budget is revised or increased.
