Input Tax Report
Overview
The Input Tax Report in DIGITZ ERP provides a complete summary of all VAT (Input Tax) paid on purchases, expenses, and any other inward taxable supplies.
It consolidates VAT amounts from Purchase Invoices, Expense Entries, Additional Expense Entries, and other tax-applicable transactions.
The report serves as a central tool for reviewing Input VAT for reconciliation, financial review, and UAE VAT return filing.
It supports UAE VAT compliance and contributes directly to the consolidated Emirate-wise VAT reporting structure.
Purpose
The purpose of the Input Tax Report is to:
- List all inward taxable transactions contributing to Input VAT.
- Assist in VAT reconciliation before periodic filing.
- Provide transparency for auditors and internal finance teams.
- Validate that the correct VAT amounts are applied on purchase-related transactions.
- Support accurate matching of Input VAT against Output VAT in the consolidated VAT summary.
- Present a structured view aligned with UAE VAT reporting needs (including Emirate allocation).
How It Works
When a taxable Purchase Invoice, Expense Entry, or Additional Expense Entry is submitted:
- VAT is automatically computed based on the assigned tax template.
- A tax posting is generated in the Input VAT ledger.
- These transactions are accumulated and grouped in the Input Tax Report.
- The system extracts the following from each document:
- Taxable value
- VAT amount
- Supplier details
- Emirate of purchase (based on supplier address or company branch)
- Posting date
- The report displays a complete line-by-line list and a total Input VAT summary.
This ensures all input tax amounts are accurately captured and visible in a single report.
